Maria Rodriguez, College Success Advisor

Mrs. Rodriguez is thrilled to be our new College Success Advisor. She is a first -generation college graduate who earned her B.S. in Biology from St. Edward's University in Austin, TX. For over seven years, she has dedicated her career to guiding first-generation students and their families on their journey to and through college, providing essentials resources to help them make informed decisions about their education.

She began her career in the nonprofit sector, completing two years of service through AmeriCorps before managing College Bound Programs. In 2022, she returned to her hometown near Houston and joined Breakthrough Houston, fulfilling her dream of supporting local students and giving back to the community where she grew up. She remains committed to empowering and providing equitable support to YWCPA's ROSES.

In free time, Mrs. Rodriguez enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She loves traveling, specifically to the beach, and watching Rom-Com movies.
